Kuljit joins the team from London, UK and is a fully qualified Psychotherapist/ Counsellor and mum to two boys aged 16 and 18 years. She is passionate about empowering children, teens, adults, parents, couples and families to live the best versions of themselves. Her intention is to create an environment that is free from judgment, feels safe, comfortable and supportive.
Kuljit has worked in the field of counselling for close to a decade and in that time, she has worked in a variety of settings from schools, charities, private practice to counselling education centres. She is confident in her skills as a therapist and feels well equipped to identify and work with the intricate needs of individuals from various backgrounds.
Training as a therapist was a natural progression for Kuljit, as it stemmed from feeling empowered by her own journey of self-awareness. Through this exploration, she learnt that her core work values are respect, compassion and community. Being a therapist provides ample opportunity for Kuljit to live out her values in such a way that she hopes empowers and supports others.
Kuljit’s training in the UK encompassed an integrative way of working as a therapist. This is a combined approach to counselling that brings together different elements of specific therapies, for instance, CBT, Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, Play Therapy and many more, to understand the needs of her clients. For Kuljit however, the heart of her work remains in building a trusting relationship with her clients.
She has extensive experience working with children and adults for several years in London. She has worked for some of the UK’s top schools and well-known charities such as Mind UK and Place2be, therefore bringing with her a rich and diverse knowledge and experience.
In addition to holding a First-Class honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Kuljit continues to undertake training in other modalities to ensure that she continues to add to her tool kits to best assist her clients.
