We provide assessments for Autism, ADHD, cognitive, learning, and developmental challenges. Assessments aim to understand strengths and challenges, provide a diagnosis where relevant and guide future strategies and supports. A multi-disciplinary approach is often used, involving input from allied health professionals, teachers, and families. Each assessment begins with a caregiver session to understand the current concerns and assessment needs. A detailed report with recommendations and a feedback session are completed following each assessment.
cognitive assessments
Cognitive assessments (also known as IQ tests) help to understand learning styles and strengths, tailoring learning approaches to align with strengths. Cognitive assessments are also used with functional assessments to assessment for an intellectual disability.

educational assessments
Educational assessments explore both cognitive ability and achievement in different areas of learning, assessing for Specific Learning Disorders, like dyslexia (reading), dysgraphia (written expression) and dyscalculia (mathematics), with tailored recommendations for supports and success.
Educational Assessment Fees:
- Educational Assessment (Standard) – $2,675.41
- Educational Assessment with CTOPP – $2,898.90

autism assessments
Our Autism assessments are a comprehensive assessment process, using multiple assessment measures to gather information and provide detailed feedback, recommendations and a personalised support plan. We often use a multi-disciplinary team approach for autism assessments, using the MIGDAS assessment tool, providing a neuro-affirming, personalised and positive experience for individuals. We also complete a cognitive assessment, other assessment measures and behavioural observations. Tailored recommendations for supports and strategies are developed. A combined autism and ADHD assessment can be completed as requested.
Autism Assessment Fees:
- Autism Assessment – $3,235.21 (plus travel fees for offsite sessions)
- Combined Autism/ADHD Assessment – $3,681.20 (plus travel fees for offsite sessions)

ADHD assessments
ADHD assessments explore attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity and executive functioning. Assessments include behavioural observations, a cognitive assessment and further assessment measures, with tailored supports and strategies recommended.
ADHD Assessment Fees:
- ADHD Assessment – $2,304.26 (plus travel fees for offsite sessions)
- Combined Autism/ADHD Assessment – $3,681.20 (plus travel fees for offsite sessions)

funding for psychology assessments
Some funding may be available under NDIS plans for current participants, depending on the assessment requested. Please discuss your assessment request with our Customer Service Team for further information.
For neurodevelopmental assessments (Autism and ADHD), a Medicare referral under Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders from a paediatrician or a psychiatrist provides a rebate for the assessment. Unfortunately, no rebates are available for assessments under a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan. Families may also choose to pay privately or check with their private health insurer for any available rebates.
